SUMMARY
A guide commissioned by the General Council of Social Work (CGTS) from Firma Quattro to advise those wishing to start out or establish themselves in the independent practice of the profession. Written by Ana Hernández Escobar and Mª Jesús Ortiz Ramírez, it distils decades of the firm's practice as a pioneer of independent social work in Spain since 1992. The first volume accompanies the move «from dream to reality»: areas of intervention, company structures, invoicing and professional ethics. The second turns to the activity itself: fields of intervention and which clients to offer services to —business organisations, social entities, public administration and individuals—, together with the use of the Canvas model. It conceives independent practice as a rigorous expression of the profession, placing professionalised services at the service of citizens from the values of social work.
